Askami.co.uk Cyprus

As Managing Director of Advanced Media Information Limited http://www.askami.co.uk/ I am delighted with the progress of Cyprus and the newly appointed Master Licensor Lefteris.
The first kiosk was delivered recently to the Grande Resort Hotel in Limassol and already there are over 30 advertisers generating in excess of 30,000 Euros in revenue in just a few short weeks with many more advertisers planned to go on the kiosk. Some of the advertisers include large brand names such as Versace, Guess, Calvin Klein and even the Bank of Cyprus Culture Institute which you are able to see on http://www.askami.co.uk/ Other kiosks have already been ordered for three more prestigious hotels on the island and it seems that Lefteris’ business is going from strength to strength.
Later this year two new franchisees will be joining Lefteris as Sharon and Derek semi-retire to Cyprus in order to start their AskAMI.co.uk business on the island. They can’t wait and find the business so easy to adapt and earn them money away from the standard and traditional methods of working in a bar or taverna.
Sharon explains “everyone staying at a major hotel in Cyprus needs to know where the local bars, shops, chemists, doctors and restaurants are located, as well as information on tours, diving, money exchange, taxis, car hire, archaeological sites etc., and this concept works so well over there that we just can’t wait to get started. The business is not difficult to run, the product speaks for itself, and it is really well received by hotels, concierge, guests and advertisers.”
If you are interested in running an AskAMI.co.uk franchise from Advanced Media Information Limited, either in the UK or abroad then please contact the company via their web site http://www.askami.co.uk/ or email us at info@askami.co.uk or me Philip.R.Smith-Lawrence at psl@askami.co.uk

Millennium Gloucester Hotel & Conference Centre

Advanced Media Information Limited, http://www.askami.co.uk/
The Millennium Gloucester Hotel and Conference Centre, London Kensington has undergone a major refurbishment to its meeting and events facilities.
The Conference Centre incorporates a contemporary Eastern design based on the Ying-Yang philosophy of the five natural elements fire, water, earth, wood and gold. The use of natural materials and water features, excite the senses while creating a feeling of space and harmony.
The suite names (Sentosa, Orchard, Changi, Marina and Jurong) compliment the design and are derived from landmarks within Singapore and its Islands, parks and nature reserves. Sentosa (meaning peace and tranquility) is one of the largest conference rooms, and is named after a beautiful tropical island resort and Nature Park situated minutes from the City of Singapore.
Orchard, the other largest banqueting space imitates the famous ‘Orchard Road’ in Singapore, the equivalent of London’s ‘Bond Street’. Renowned for its luxury shopping, restaurants and buzzing environment, the interior design of the Orchard suite reflects the eventful theme. The design has been done on a grand scale with opulent chandeliers and colourful art installations creating a theatre like presence.
Orchard and Sentosa now offer improved facilities which include: 10mb SDSL broadband, Wi-Fi with ethernet ports, new VDUs, screening facilities and intelligent lighting, complimented by a contemporary food and beverage menu. 17,000 sq.ft of event and meetings space has been refurbished at a total cost of £3 million.
“Our aim through the refurbishment is to offer our clients a varied choice of spaces to hold a ceremony or a glittering champagne reception, guests can now opt for a more traditional English style function room or a contemporary Eastern design,” says Andrew Tan, Director of the Millennium Conference Centre.
143 standard bedrooms have been renovated at a cost of £2 million in conjunction with the conference centre project. These rooms have an emphasis on simplicity and design with the look and feel of a modern home, using natural colours to encourage the guests to enjoy the calm and peace of the space. All rooms have high-speed Internet access, modern bathrooms with art deco fixtures and the latest in entertainment systems.
The Millennium Conference Centre is based within the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in the heart of Kensington, just south of Hyde Park and in close proximity to many of London’s major attractions including the Natural History, Victoria & Albert, Science Museums, Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace.

How often have you stayed in a hotel?

http://www.askami.co.uk/
I understand that the question is a rather sweeping statement so I should ask it again but this time with more substance, "Have you ever stayed in a hotel and decided to explore the area outside of the hotel, for a meal or just a quite pint down at one of the local pubs but you don't know were to go?"

At AskAmi.co.uk we provide touchscreen information kiosks that are situated in hotel foyers to help the hotel guests find were the local restaurants and pubs, amongst other businesses, are located. There are many information categories on the kiosks and each kiosks has a number of the categories created specifically to compliment the area local to the hotel. However there are a number of common categories across all the kiosks, Restaurants, Bars & Clubs, Hairdressers, Health & Beauty, Sports & Leisure,Florists and Limo Hire amongst others. There can be up to 60 main categories and sub categories on any one kiosk as we find that hotel guests prefer the restaurants section broken down into sub categories representing the main cultural food groups, Chinese, Indian, Thai, Oriental, Modern Contemporary, Traditional English, Spanish, Italian, French, German and speciality foods such as Mongolian. There is also normally a category for Takeaways as not everybody likes to dine out all the time. The AskAmi.co.uk kiosk categories vary from hotel kiosk to hotel kiosk but we do try and meet the information requirement needs of the hotel guests.
